What is Kleinanzeigen?

Kleinanzeigen (formerly eBay Kleinanzeigen) is Germany’s dominant general-classifieds platform, now operated by Adevinta. Its car vertical is overwhelmingly private-seller supply — the C2C half of the German market that dealer portals like Mobile.de and AutoScout24 do not carry.

Market position

With 98,007 live listings it is the second-largest source in the Carapis catalogue, behind willhaben’s 101,622 (measured 1 October 2026). Germany is the deepest used-car market in Europe, and Kleinanzeigen covers the private-seller side of it; paired with Mobile.de’s dealer inventory it is the closest thing to full national coverage.

What the API returns

Response schema

Indicative — this is the shape, not a guarantee. Every source returns the same structure, so what you build against does not change when you add one. Which fields carry a value depends on the source and on the individual listing: a site that does not publish mileage returns null there, and Kleinanzeigen is no exception.

Which sources you can actually query is answered by GET /apix/api/sources/ with your API key — it is the list your account can pull today, and it is the one to trust over any page on this site.

Private-seller supply at national scale. These are the price points that never reach a dealer forecourt, which makes them the honest floor in any German residual-value model.

API quick start

import requests resp = requests.get( "https://api.carapis.com/apix/api/vehicles/", params={"source_code": "kleinanzeigen", "limit": 20}, headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {API_KEY}"}, ) for car in resp.json()["results"]: print(car["brand_name"], car["model_name"], car["year"], car["price_usd"])
